Triple Apparels receives Sedex and BSCI certification

Triple Apparels was recently awarded the Sedex and BSCI certification recognizing the standards maintained in terms of social sustainability measures taken within its operations.

Renowned manufacturing and retailing organizations across the globe use these certifications to manage their performance around labour rights, health & safety, the environment and business ethics.

The Supplier Ethical Data Exchange (Sedex) is a not-for-profit membership organisation for businesses committed to the continuous improvement of ethical performance within their supply chains while the Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI) operates as a body for promoting workplace conditions in accordance with human rights, ILO conventions and national labor law.

The monitored performance areas for these certifications include ethical business behaviour, organization’s social management system and its cascade effect, the rights of freedom of association and collective bargaining, workers' involvement and protection, decent working hours, fair remuneration, occupational health and safety, special protection for young workers, prevention of bonded labour, child labour, precarious employment and discrimination and measures taken for protection of the environment.

Triple Apparels is one of the few Bangladeshi apparel manufactures to be awarded both these certifications ever so shortly into its operations.
